It was with great enthusiasm that Mr and Mrs Höppner, a couple of German origin, commissioned the construction of the Dunasol complex. Forty-two apartments and a small restaurant were built, in a style typical of the time in Gran Canaria.

The complex has been partially and completely reformed on several occasions over the years, as needs changed, eliminating the restaurant and staff rooms and adding another 6 apartments to make the present total of 48.

In 1999, the complex was bought by the company that had been administering the apartments since they were built and it is now managed by the second generation.

From then on, we have made every effort to improve all the facilities to cover all our guests’ current needs while attempting to respect the environment with the use of solar energy and water and power-saving devices.
